Cyprus in a nutshell!

Cyprus is a fairly small island in the Mediterranean Sea which enjoys a warm (albeit sometimes hot!) climate almost all year round. The island joined the European Union in May of 2004 and is the most eastern part of the European Union.

The national currency is the Euro. Its economy has gradually developed from being agricultural-based to tourist-based over the past 30 years or so attracting over 2 million tourists per year. The cost of living can be considered to be fairly high but not anything near major metropolitan cities of Europe.

We won’t be talking demographics, politics or religion in this website because clearly what we are interested in is holidays!

The biggest cities which attract the core of visitors in Cyprus are Nicosia (capital), Limassol, Paphos, Larnaca, Protaras, Paralimni, Ayia Napa as well as the countless villages which are situated in the Troodos mountains.

Finding a hotel to meet your budget and needs shouldn’t be too difficult since there are countless hotels throughout the island which can be easily booked via telephone or online since a vast majority of hotels have their own webpages.

Extensive details for each city, its attractions, hotels, beaches, restaurants, shopping info are given on its respective page.
